Boston native Roz Browne has been making people laugh for decades. You might have noticed her on Curb Your Enthusiasm, or in Judd Apatow’s critically acclaimed comedy series “Baskets” on the FX network. Browne is known for her sassy performances. While studying under the guidance of Groundlings Founder Gary Austin, Roz honed her writing, creativity, and perfected her comedic persona and delivery. Television appearances include The Sherri show, ABC's the View, 5 O’clock Funnies, Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen, America’s Funniest People, Comedy Time, and Que Locos Comedy Jam. Her BET’s Comic View was an instant hit with viewers.
Roz has created two solo shows and an ensemble show called “The Merry Wives of Comedy.” These shows were produced and performed in Martha’s Vineyard, Boston and California.
Directing “In Search of Black People” is the esteemed Jane Morris, an accomplished actress, director, and improviser with an impressive career spanning film, television, and theater. Morris has graced screens in productions such as The Laundromat and Veep. Her extensive improv background and experience as a director, including a nomination for a Joseph Jefferson Award, promise to bring a dynamic and compelling touch to Browne’s show. Morris also teaches writing for performance workshops at The Fanatic Salon Theater.
